Tension Headache

There are many reasons for tension headache and there is no exact reason has been found out. Tension headaches are very common in people and some of the reasons that can cause tension headache are given below.


  1. Improper food intake or skipping a meal can cause tension headache
  2. Sleeplessness is an another problem that causes headaches
  3. Stress creates headaches, this is one of the most common cause of headache. This type of headache is also called stress headache.
  4. Strain for eyes can be a reason for headache
  5. Your bad posture can be a problem for causing headache. Improper posture can cause strain in muscles and this will create tension headache.

Cause of headache in children can be something else other than the above given and they can be

  1. Changes happen in the school or in home itself can create headache like problems.
  2. Mental stress in school can cause headache. Like the day before exams or oral tests.
  3. Isolating socially can be a cause of headache.
